The MPA, which represents studios like Netflix, Paramount, Amazon MGM, Sony Pictures, Universal, Disney, and Warner Bros Discovery, is calling for ByteDance to cease its infringing activity immediately.
TikTok, which has some connection to ByteDance, acknowledged that pre-launch videos using its model have been shared. They stated their respect for intellectual property rights and copyright protections, promising to take any potential infringement seriously. In response, ByteDance has suspended user uploads of images of real people and is implementing robust policies and monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance with regulations.
