A tragic event has cast a shadow over Christmas Day as a man from St Asaph has been charged with murder.
This devastating news comes after the death of a 68-year-old man on December 25th. Emergency services were called to a property on High Street in St Asaph, Denbighshire, shortly after 12:00 GMT following reports of a disturbance. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he passed away later that day.
Authorities have charged a 66-year-old man with the murder. He is scheduled to appear at Llandudno Magistrates' Court.
Detective Chief Inspector Eleri Thomas has urged anyone who was in the vicinity of the Old Palace Flats and may have witnessed or heard anything before the incident to come forward and contact the authorities. "Investigations are ongoing," she stated, "and a police presence remains in the area to provide reassurance."
She also confirmed that the police are not currently seeking any other individuals in connection with this heartbreaking event.
This case raises many questions. What could have led to such a tragic event on a day meant for celebration and togetherness?
